Residential Tariff Blocks
Your whole month is billed at the rate of the block your consumption reaches — use 350 kWh and all 350 kWh are charged at the 301 – 400 kWh rate. Homes using up to 200 kWh a month pay subsidised rates.
Your bill also adds VAT at 15% (homes using under 200 kWh a month are exempt), a 0.5% regulator’s fee and, above 50 kWh, a 10 ETB TV licence fee.
